The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed our boy Ananda Nu has had a change of name! With his endearing personality, his Gryffindor style jumper and his adorable flappy ears, the team couldn't help but keep calling him Dobby, so we thought we would roll with this change and Dobby seems to be more than happy with his new image! He is named after the coolest house elf there ever was, after all!
Originally from India, Dobby, just like his name sake, has a bouncy kind of charm that is totally adorable! He faced some challenges in his early life, but has made us so proud with what a resilient lad he is; a real happy-go-lucky kind of dog.
To give you a bit of detail about his life before us, Dobby was sadly repeatedly beaten with a stick which has caused some trauma to his back legs. He manages so well on his legs now though, and while his walking isn't perfect, he trots about without a care in the world well and even enjoys zoomies on a regular basis!
Dobby doesn't enjoy kennel life; he prefers being with his human all day, chatting away in his dog voice and being the best little companion you could ask for.
His favourite things in life are short walks, making friends with other dogs (while staying on a lead, just in case things get a little wild) and solving food puzzles at lightning speed! He’s also a foodie
SO, WHAT WOULD DOBBY’S DREAM HOME BE LIKE?
- It’s a peaceful, adult-only space in the countryside or somewhere nice and quiet.
- A patient family who are willing to embrace training and the things Ananda loves such as puzzles and toys, to keep his brilliant mind engaged.
- A sunny garden for his sunbathing sessions (another favourite past time!)
- And if you're looking for a loyal sidekick, Dobby is your guy!

NOTE:
All our dogs go on home trial for four weeks before an adoption. We offer post adoption support and access to a certified behaviourist and trainer for the lifetime of our dogs.
All our dogs are trained with force free, positive reinforcement based training methods. If you want to adopt Ananda Nu, you agree to continue using only these methods and training with kindness.
